Fastest weekend ever, amiright? Let’s recap…
If you have been following along on Facebook and IG, you saw that I stocked up on hairspray at the Beauty Brands sale. But after getting SO MUCH feedback on the $15 boxes I headed back on Friday morning with the boys to grab one. Find the travel box here and the faves box here.
Once BTR got home Friday I dashed over to STL to the Katie Cooks event! If you followed along with my stories you saw I had a ton of fun and came home with 10 really healthy meals in under an hour! Yes, really. I’ll have a full recap blog post coming soon, but make sure to check back as we eat through our meals the next few weeks!
While I was gone BTR had some friends over to play poker and Jude jumped right in with the poker chips and cards before bed. #raisingthemright
Saturday BTR had a ton of work to do in the shop….
so I took the boys to Eckert’s for a cooking class! It was Dr. Seuss themed and was seriously the cutest thing ever. Jude had a blast and participated way more than I thought he would.
And then there was Ezra. :| He was a monster and now I remember why you don’t leave the house with two year olds. I will definitely be signing up for more classes for me and Jude!
After class we walked out to the car and I found my coffee. #facepalm
That afternoon while BTR worked and E napped and Jude had quiet time, I ran to the grocery store by myself. Which is my all time fave thing. #momlife We had a low key Saturday night and made some steads in the sous vide and started season 2 of Sneaky Pete on Amazon Prime.
Sunday was another busy day! BTR and Jude woke up early and made waffles for breakfast.
Then BTR’s mom took the boys over to visit Brandon’s grandma at her senior living community. The boys are ridiculously spoiled when they visit and they make them like three lunches and everyone is obsessed with them.
Oh and it SNOWED. In March. I was literally wearing short sleeves on Saturday. What is this nonsense!?!
They came home for naps and quiet time while BTR and I finished up some more work. Then my mom came over so BTR and I could sneak to STL! We grabbed a drink at Side Project and then headed over to Delmar to check out the soft opening of Guerrilla Street Food!
BTR and I already love eating at Guerrilla Street’s food truck and when we go to 2nd Shift Brewing, but they have new menu items at the Delmar location and OMG you guys need to go. Like right now. I’m not kidding.
The duck egg toast was amazing and pork belly with pineapple might be my new favorite dish. Of course you can’t go wrong with the flying pig which is my standard order at 2nd Shift.
WHAT a weekend! We have pretty busy week coming up so stick around!
Happy Monday Friends!
