What a weekend! We jam packed our Saturday full of Oktoberfest fun (x2!) and I think we were all ready for a break Sunday!
Anheuser-Busch invited us to come hang out at their Oktoberfest that was taking place all weekend. We decided to go over Saturday morning right when it opened and it was perfect weather!
I still can’t get over how different the tour center is than when I worked there in college. They have a full restaurant and bar in addition to tours and the gift shop and this weekend they had tons of extra activities!
While the petting zoo was pretty cool, OBVIOUSLY the keg rolling was our favorite. BTR captioned his Instagram as “training for Sigma Chi house parties” and I about died laughing.
But seriously, we had so much fun eating, drinking, and exploring! And taking pictures. Lots and lots of pictures.
Thanks so much for having us AB, we will definitely be coming back next year!
Any way we headed home that afternoon in hopes of no car naps (really E!) but of course we lost that battle and by the time we got home he decided a 30 minute nap in his crib was long enough. Not cool kid.
So we packed the car up again and headed out to our church’s Oktoberfest! I legit only have 2 photos from the whole night. And they are the back of our heads. One of me and E doing the duck pond and one of BTR and E playing poker. I swear Jude was there!
We met some friends up there and even saw a friend of Jude’s from preschool! But poor Ezra was miserable with a runny nose and just wasn’t having it. I’m 99% sure he’s got some teeth coming in (can I just blame everything on teeth forever and ever?) so we decided to head home early and get him to bed. Poor guy passed out immediately and even slept in on Sunday! So hopefully he’s feeling better this week.
I was inspired by a friend’s post about cinnamon roll waffles so Sunday morning we made them for breakfast and they were so yummy! We will definitely be making these again!
We legit had the laziest day Sunday just lounging, catching up on work, and a bit of cleaning. It was awesome. I snuck in a walk around the neighborhood by myself and listed to a podcast (I need new ones! send me your recs!) and then BTR smoked a bunch of meat for dinner!
We have a semi-busy week ahead of us, so a restful Sunday was so nice!
I hope you all had wonderful weekends with your loved ones!
Happy Monday Friends!
