We had the BEST start to summer this past weekend!
On Friday, BTR’s school had three giant bounce house inflatables for the kids, so we snuck up there while the students were at lunch for some bounce time! Both boys loved it!
When BTR got home that afternoon we celebrated by playing in the back yard and BTR had a pour of some 15 year Pappy Van Winkle.
We woke up early Saturday morning to head on a little road trip through southern Illinois!
First, we headed to Ava, IL where a brewery called Scratch is located.
They have some seriously delicious beer and food there. I’m hoping next time we go we can find a place to take the boys hiking near by!
They also have goats at the brewery. GOATS.
After we left Scratch, we headed to Sparta, IL to stop in at White Rooster. Where we had some more amazing beer and got to try a beer they haven’t released yet.
Sunday morning we woke up and continued our yearly Memorial Day Weekend tradition of visiting Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery to visit Brandon’s grandpa’s gravesite.
I was a little bummed because I thought the flags would be in front of the stones that day, but I guess the Boy Scouts were doing it that day because we literally saw 4000 of them walking in! Mental note to go on Monday next year or at least later in the day Sunday.

We had a lazy rest of the day Sunday and most of Monday.
We cleaned out the water table and baby pool and the boys had SO MUCH FUN playing in the water! I really want to get a slip-n-slide for the yard, I think E would love it so much! And maybe me too.
I hope you all had an amazing long weekend with your families! We have a somewhat busy first week of summer, we have lots of Father’s Day orders to get out plus some really fun and exciting new products to list! Check my Instagram stories to see some sneak peeks!!
Happy Tuesday Friends!
