I haven’t done a weekend recap in sooooo long and this past one was just awesome so I really wanted to remember it!
We started Friday morning off with a Police Appreciation play date at the park that a friend put together! Lots of different local agencies came and all the kids got to climb in the cars and play with the lights and sirens. I left E at home with Brandon so just Jude and I could play and we had so much fun!
Friday was the official start of STL Craft Beer Week (best week of the year!!!) so that evening we headed downtown to the Brewers’ Picnic at Bridge Tap House. They had the whole block closed off and even laid down sod in the middle for kids to play on! There were two fire trucks that had a huge flag hanging and lots of yummy food and beer. And I finally got to wear my new JORD watch! I have a fun post coming soon with them!
Oh, I also took one of our Milestone Baby Activity Cards to snap a picture of Ezra, his first festival! :)
Saturday we left both kids at home with my mom (first time they were both awake when we left!) and headed to our favorite beer event of the year, the Midwest Belgian Beer Fest hosted by Perennial! This was our third year attending and I think it might have been my favorite one yet! BTR donated some lambic boxes and bottle openers for them to use in the raffle so it’s always fun to see his stuff!
We came home that afternoon and relaxed on the patio with the boys and picked about a million tomatoes from the garden. Jude likes sharing with Ezra, for now.
I gave Jude a popsicle after dinner and it was the first time he showed any interest in eating one! Probably because it was shaped like a frog. And then I turned my back for 2 seconds and he was sharing it with Addie. #badaddie
And we’ve been working on tummy time with Ezra and he seems to really enjoy it! But can someone please stop time? He is getting way too big too fast!
Sunday was filled with lots of good food and shopping! Sunday morning after breakfast we headed to At Home to see if we could find some fun seating for the basement playroom. I didn’t find a bean bag like I wanted, but they had so many fun pillows! We did end up with a fun chair for the basement.
After we got home and the boys went down for a nap, I headed to STL by myself to make some exchanges at Nordstrom and pick up some groceries at Trader Joe’s. I came home and we grilled outside for dinner and played on the deck before bedtime.

I’m in complete denial that BTR heads back to work in 2 weeks. It’s been so nice having him home all summer and I won’t lie, I’m nervous about watching two kids on my own when he goes back to school! I feel like I will have to relearn how to do everything from this spring when he went back to school after Ezra was born. Why can’t it stay summer forever!
I hope you all had a fantastic weekend friends, happy Monday!
