What a weekend! I’m ready to take a nap, and let’s hope Jude agrees with me! :) We were out of town this past weekend for Brandon’s cousin’s wedding! It was So. Much. Fun!
Since we were in the area, we went to The Bar for lunch on Friday. Yes this is “The Bar” from the movie Gone Girl.
Friday night we had the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Brandon and I could not remember the last time we ordered steaks for dinner. And these steaks did not disappoint, they were sooooo delicious! Jude opted for a meal of french fries! :)
Friday night sleeping was NOT fun. We brought the pack-n-play for Jude but he was not having it. He normally goes to sleep great and then sleeps all night long, but he had a rough time falling asleep and kept waking up. Then we realized his molars were coming in and I hadn’t packed the Tylenol, #momfail. I did a midnight run to Walgreens while BTR rocked him and of course he was passed out by the time I got back with the medicine.
We woke up early Saturday for breakfast in the hotel (it was seriously yummy) and then got ready for the wedding. BTR left before us with the rest of the wedding party (he was a groomsman) and Jude and I hung out in the room and then headed to the church. Jude did great during the ceremony, as did the 12 children under the age of 4 in our ten foot radius. I’m not exaggerating, there really were that many kids in the pews around us! It was a beautiful wedding ceremony!

Jude and I headed back to the hotel for a quick nap while they did wedding party photos and then we headed down to the reception. It was so nice having the reception hall and the hotel attached to each other!
Jude was a dancing machine and I think this was my favorite shot of him on the dance floor.
We had him wearing shoes most of the weekend and he just could not figure out how to get around, so when we took his shoes off on the dance floor he went CRAZY. The reception decor was so pretty and in all the fun I completely forgot to take pictures of anything!
Later that night Brandon’s mom took Jude back to our hotel room so we could stay at the reception, and I sooooo appreciate her doing that. BTR and I had so much fun with all of his cousins dancing and going in the photo booth!
We went back to our room to a sleeping baby (yay!) and BTR and I both crashed hard. We woke up for breakfast Sunday morning and then packed everything up to head home. We decided to visit a couple of wineries and get lunch on our way back home since we were so close and had never been before.
The wineries we went to were really nice and I think it would be a really fun weekend trip to do with friends!
We had such a fun weekend celebrating the new couple and hanging out with family! And now I’m going to go take a nap! :)
