Jude and I had so much fun making Valentine’s Day love notes last year, we decided to send some out again this year!
We did a super similar project to last year since Jude still loves using his Do A Dot markers. But instead of cut out hearts, we just made layered rectangles with pink cardstock.
I cut the word “love” out of white shimmer cardstock on the laser (high tech!) and then glued it on top of our notes.
Once everything was stuffed and sealed we took them to the mailbox, which might have been Jude’s favorite part of the activity.
Of course, the next best part was opening all our notes from our friends!
I put all of the notes we received inside the felt mailboxes I have for the boys. I bought them last year at Target (and was smart enough to buy the second for E even though he wasn’t here!) and then I glued a felt heart on the front with their initials.
Jude had a blast opening all the envelopes.
And Ezra enjoyed eating all of the envelopes. Poor kid is still working on that first tooth.
Jude loved looking at all the notes and I named who they were all from.
Maybe Ezra can help out more next year! :)
