I wasn’t planning on posting today, but when I saw Betsy talk about this link up I thought it might be fun! And shockingly Brandon was totally game! I’m a little nervous for his answers, so this could get interesting.

So without further delay, here’s BTR, the guy behind Ellie And Addie:
1. Do you have a good luck charm or ritual? (like a lucky coin, or you always used to listen to a certain pump-up song when you played sports in high school or college?)
I don’t really have a good luck charm or anything symbolic I carry around. In high school one of my best friends and I had a ritual of watching Varsity Blues the night before two a days started for football in the summer and then again the night before big games. Our school and football program was nothing like the West Cannon Football program, but it was fun to pretend to be that cool. On Friday’s we would mimic James Van Der Beek and Paul Walker wearing our football jerseys tucked into blue jeans with Doc Martins. And R. Kelly’s Ignition Remix also still gets me pretty pumped up. Not that I need to get pumped up for much anymore. Maybe I should play it when have to change a smelly diaper. I could use some adrenaline for that at times…
2. What is your favorite dish that your wife makes for you? Do you have any fun memories of a time when she tried to cook and it totally flopped or does she get it right every time?
Oh my loaded question here… Is no comment an option… I plead the 5th… In all honesty I love to cook and it is a stress reliever, so I have never given Liz a lot of autonomy to grow in the kitchen. I will say though she is gaining confidence. When it comes to any kind of baking or desert I am not skilled in these areas, and she definitely makes some great stuff. Right now she makes some energy bites I really like! They are a great snack and I think even kind of healthy… Best dish? Do dog cookies from my spent grains count? I know not humanly edible, but the dogs seem to like them!
3. What did you want to be when you were growing up?
T-rex.
4. Which of the five senses is your strongest?
Definitely sight. I am a visual learner and teach best visually as well. If I ever have to explain something, I immediately go for a pad of paper to try to draw it out, but it doesn’t make much sense because like I said above I am a horrendous artist. I definitely remember faces before I remember names. Liz would definitely tell you I am awful in the hearing category. It’s not as much as that I am not a good listener, it is more selective and that I zone out on a particular idea. I get caught a lot bringing up an awesome idea or tying something into the story that she had just said two minutes ago. I have a fun game of then catching myself doing it, I read her distain in her glare, so I pretend I am doing it to be funny… but I think that game is wearing off and she is catching on! So I must turn my ears on more!
5. Would you ever run for president?
No interest what so ever. Well I take that back, if a successful run at President means I get to throw out the first pitch at a World Series then I am ready to hit the campaign trail!
Wow, BTR can be long winded at times :) And surprisingly I think I learned a few new things about him as well! And yes he is definitely in trouble for pretending to pretend to listen to me.
Thanks so much for hosting this link up Betsy, it was fun!
