A few weeks ago we were invited by Eckert’s to come to the opening weekend of strawberry picking! And we had so much fun (as always)!

My number 1 tip for picking ANYTHING at Eckert’s is to arrive early and get the first tractor out to the fields.

The weather was perfect for picking!

Once we filled our baskets we rode the tractor back and hit up the Strawberry Festival for some rides and snacks! Strawberry Picking at Eckert's Country Store and Farm in Belleville, IL, just outside St. Louis | Liz from Ellie And Addie

We also visited the little petting zoo area and saw some cows and goats.

They both loved ringing the bell on this little train. I wasn’t sure how they would do riding without me or BTR, but they surprised us both and did great! Thanks again to Eckert’s for inviting us to pick strawberries, we had so much fun and now have more strawberries than we know what to do with! Check back tomorrow for a fun recipe! :)
