I figured now is as good a time as any to give you all a bump update for Baby Boy Rotz #2! I wasn’t blogging when I was pregnant with Jude so I never did these updates, and the thought of weekly updates for this pregnancy seemed like a lot of work. But I figured I have to document it at least once on here!
How Far Along – 30 Weeks 5 Days – Due Date of April 14, 2016 (same due date as Jude!)
Size of Baby – According to my What to Expect App the baby is the size of a butternut squash. According to how I feel I think he’s a large watermelon.
Gender – BOY! And I still make them confirm that at every ultra sound.
Total Weight Gain – Yeah right, like I would post that on the Internet! I definitely started this pregnancy weighing more than I did when I was first pregnant with Jude. But I haven’t gained as much yet with this one. I definitely have quite a baby belly, and have for some time now, but my total pounds on the scale isn’t as high as I would have thought. But we still have about 10 weeks to go so we’ll see what happens!
Cravings – Honestly I haven’t had any crazy cravings. I did want spicy tacos and (virgin) margaritas a few months ago. And while I wouldn’t turn either of those things down now, I don’t feel the need to have them all the time (like I did with Jude).
What Do I Miss – Beer. And sometimes sushi. But mostly I just really want a glass of sour beer, specifically Peach Katy by 2nd Shift!
Sleep – Oh goodness my sleep is just awful lately. Whether it’s tossing and turning or having to get up and go to the bathroom, but I just cannot get comfortable. But I do love my pregnancy pillow!
Nursery – This is a story for a whole other post. Which is actually being planned and written to go up next week! :)
How is Big Brother – Jude is doing awesome. I honestly don’t know if he has any idea that there’s a baby in my belly. We occasionally ask him where the baby is and he gives us a look and then stares at my belly, but he doesn’t bring it up on his own ever. I really don’t plan on having any expectations for Jude when this baby arrives (I mean he will only be 2), and I’m totally okay with that!
Maternity Clothes – Um basically since I saw the positive test, and yes leggings count as pants! No but seriously, I’ve been rocking the maternity jeans for a while and I’ve been able to wear all my old maternity shirts and tank tops from last time. We totally did not plan having a baby in April again, but I’m not complaining about being able to reuse everything!
Speaking of clothes, I really didn’t want to spend a lot of money on new maternity clothes, but when PinkBlush reached out to me about trying some of their clothes I couldn’t say no! They have a regular shop AND a maternity shop full of the cutest clothes for women. I picked out this black and white striped cardigan because I knew it would be perfect to wear while pregnant, but I could also get tons of use after baby out of it! And because I have no self control, when I saw they were having a sale (which they have quite often, make sure you sign up for their emails!) I decided to snag this pink sweater. I thought the lace detailing on the sleeve was so pretty and would be perfect to wear during the month of love!
Even more exciting is that PinkBlush Boutique has offered to do a $75 gift certificate giveaway! I’m pretty jealous of whoever wins this giveaway, because I have quite a few things saved in my cart that I would love to add to my closet. Use the fancy Rafflecopter widget below to enter, there are lots of different ways to get entries!
Thank you so much to PinkBlush Maternity for sponsoring this post and the giveaway! All thoughts and opinions are my own.
In case you missed it…
