Ok friends, I teased these on Instagram the other day and I’m pretty sure I’ve NEVER gotten so many messages about wanting a recipe!

I can’t remember exactly when I started making this recipe, but I do know I made them approximately 87982314 times while I was pregnant with Jude. And for some reason I haven’t made them in a few years. Definitely won’t let that happen again. Ever.

Watch how easy it is to make these no-bake chocolate peanut butter bars!
The peanut butter bar is made with butter, brown sugar, peanut butter, crushed graham crackers, and powdered sugar. And I promise you it tastes even better than the store bought candy! And don’t forget to grab an adjustable measuring cup for the peanut butter! it makes measuring sticky ingredients and cleaning a breeze!

The glaze on top is chocolate chips melted with whipping cream. I love using Prairie Farms heavy whipping cream. Do you remember that farm tour we went on? I love knowing the dairy we get is supporting a local farmer! Make sure to melt the chocolate in 30 second increments so it doesn’t burn and just keep stirring. Eventually it will turn into a shiny glaze and that’s when you add the vanilla!

In the recipe I melted the chocolate in the microwave using my favorite silicone measuring cups. But you could also heat the chocolate and whipping cream using a double boiler.

I really hope you enjoy making these with your family! Jude and I had a ton of fun making them together! Leave a comment below and let me know when you make them!

No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars
Ingredients
for the peanut butter bars
- 6 tablespoons Prairie Farms unsalted butter, softened
- ⅓ cup dark brown sugar
- 1 ⅓ cup peanut butter
- ½ cup crushed graham crackers
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups powdered sugar
for the chocolate glaze
- 9 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ⅓ cup Prairie Farms heavy whipping cream
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
For the peanut butter bars:
- Lightly grease an 8 x 8 pan and line with parchment paper.
- Use a standing mixer and beat the butter until creamy.
- Add the brown sugar and continue to mix.
- Add the peanut butter, crushed graham crackers, vanilla, and salt and mix till combined.
- Add the powdered sugar and mix until just combined.
Take the peanut butter mix and press into the lined 8 x 8 pan and gently press until the whole surface is covered and even. You can use the bottom of a measuring cup to even it all out.
For the chocolate glaze:
Combine the chocolate chips and the heavy whipping cream in a microwave safe bowl. My favorite cups for melting chocolate are these. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between heating. The chocolate will become completely smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract. Pour over the peanut butter bars and use a spatula to evenly cover.
Put the entire pan in the fridge for 1-2 hours. The longer you wait, the more firm they will be for cutting. Remove from fridge and lift the parchment paper from the pan. Cut into squares and serve! Keep these bars refrigerated for up to one week. But I promise they won't last that long.
