As pitchers and catchers reported earlier this month to Spring Training, it only means one thing, that opening day and a new season is right around the corner! The start of baseball season is synonymous with many of the feelings of Spring. I love that feeling of new hope, revitalized energy, and the sense that your team (or family) can accomplish anything!
In my photo memories this week I came across this all too adorable picture of Jude and Ezra a few years ago getting ready for Spring Training in our back yard. And of course, then I went down the rabbit hole of how that feels like just yesterday and how fast time goes by. Especially when you have kids, and how I don’t stop nearly enough just to take it all in.
Our family has a lot of big milestones coming up this year. Jude will start Kindergarten (hold me) and Ezra will start his first year of preschool. We also have a lot of new opportunities coming up with our small businesses. I know once they are both in school and start all the activities, life will come at us even faster. That has set me into a mode of my own Spring Training and getting that revitalized energy and hope to tackle life this next year.
I’m so excited to be partnering with Phillips 66® this year to live our life to fullest. To me, that doesn’t mean I want to climb Mount Everest, who are we kidding I can’t climb the big hill in our neighborhood! ;) It just means I want to be more present and take everything in a little more and soak it all up. Because between running to and from school, preparing meals, responding to emails, and writing invoices for our businesses, the days start to blend together.
This spring and summer will be our last with Jude not in full-time school. I want to make sure we take it all in and live it to the fullest. Like more…
Popsicles on the back porch.
More train rides at the zoo.
More road trips as a family.
More time in the garden.
And definitely more Cardinals games with these two!
I know every year is a big year, that is what’s so great about Spring and finding that energy all over again. We are definitely shooting for the World Series this year as a team and family, thanks to Phillips 66 for partnering with us to live life to the fullest.
