So if you’ve been following along on my Instagram stories for the last month or so, you may have seen how much fun I had at the Katie Cooks Meal Prep Event I attended! So it’s high time I wrote you a full blog post about it!
This event is basically the gift that keeps on giving because we have had so many delicious meals and I basically had to do nothing. Ok, not nothing because I did scoop 4654851351 meatballs that night. But basically nothing. :) The best part is all these meals have been super healthy too!
Let’s talk a bit more about Katie and her events first! Katie is a mom who gets that meal planning is hard. And it doesn’t hurt that she’s trained in culinary arts and nutrition! So she created these events to take the stress out of meal planning. And the best part? The whole night was over in less than an hour. I came home with 10 fully prepped meals IN AN HOUR. That’s like unheard of friends! Meal planning is not my thing, and that’s totally okay because now I have Katie.
Each meal serves four people and you get to choose how many and which meals you want to make/take home. She usually has around 12 options. At home, all you have to do is add maybe a side or some lettuce to complete the meal, but its all pretty simple!
The event itself was a ton of fun. Super quick and down to business! Everyone shows up with their empty laundry baskets, lines them up, and gets to work. You work on one meal station for the entire event. And you get to make friends! I worked on the turkey buffalo meatball station with two other lovely ladies. And you guys I legit did scoop 4654851351meatballs. But it was so much fun. And there’s wine. WINE. Katie knows how to throw a party. :) Katie’s website has all the official details and instructions on what to bring to the event, so make sure to check that out when you sign up!
And let’s talk about pricing. Grocery shopping ain’t cheap. Many times BTR and I will say we want tacos and go to the store and then all of a sudden we’ve spent $40 on a single meal. Katie’s meals are $17 (remember that’s a serving for four people) and the more you buy you can save with her promo code. We had leftovers every time we made her meals, so we also had some delicious lunches the next day!
Now I’m not a food photographer, but I promise you these meals were DELICIOUS and SO easy to make. Like so easy that I actually cooked most of them myself!
Even better than the yummy food, Katie was so much fun to work with, a great local business person and mom! I loved supporting her and enjoying her talents through the meals!
She has ONE more event this spring before she’s taking a break this summer. So go check the menu and sign up asap! But I promise to let you know when she’s back this fall with more events because I am definitely going back!
Thanks so much for having me, Katie!
