I have always heard Vitamix Blenders are the bees knees of blenders, and you guys, people were not joking! I just got mine and I love it! So far we’ve made margaritas (DUH) and pesto with basil from the last of the #rotzgarden. But the most fun thing we’ve made so far was homemade peanut butter!
I wanted to dive feet first in once I got it, so we grabbed some roasted peanuts at the store and got to work! And by work I mean I put them in the Vitamix and turned it on. Yes that’s seriously all it takes to make peanut butter!
Fresh peanut butter really does taste so much better, but I know can also be really expensive! I was able to get that high quality peanut butter and control the taste/crunchiness by making it at home with my Vitamix Blender!
It can seriously be just as simple as only adding peanuts, or you can change things up by choosing different oils, different types of nuts, and other fun add ins to adapt the flavor! It’s any easy way to control the taste and nutrition of what goes into your homemade peanut butter.
The best part guys, it only took 5 minutes. You know Jude loves helping in the kitchen and this was a perfect way to do something fun with him and create a quick snack he loves, our energy bites! It’s as easy as 1-2-3 and then some mixing and scooping! We love eating these as an after school snack.
Pro Tip: you NEED the under blade scraper, it helps get every last bit out!
Another awesome part of the Vitamix are the personal cups and adapter. You can easily make a smoothie on the go since you blend in the 20 ounce cup with the base (made with the same blades as a full size container) and then just pop on the to go lid! We made the peanut butter in them since we were only making enough for our energy bite recipe (come back this week for the entire recipe!).
We have the Vitamix E310 Explorian and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new blender! Oh and I almost forgot to tell you how EASY the Vitamix is to clean! Fill it with warm water, add a couple drops of dish soap, and turn it on. THAT’S IT. You do not have to disassemble anything!
Have you ever made homemade peanut butter? I can’t wait to try some new flavors!
