It is full on summer around here and we have been busy! Here’s just a few of my favorite things from the past few weeks!
One.
Earlier this week BTR and I loaded up the boys and delivered Meals on Wheels to seniors in our community. A member of Junior Service Club actually does this EVERY Monday so as members we all sign up and take turns delivering! It’s definitely one of my favorite service activities in the club and I’m signed up again in a few weeks!
Jude even got out of the car and walked up to a few doors with me which made my heart so happy. When I posted this picture on Instagram and it also pushed to my Twitter account. Well there it was retweeted by the National Meal on Wheels agency and has been seen by over 13,000 people. Which is just crazy to me!

Two.
Did you see my post about SwimZip yesterday? We went to the Citygarden to play earlier this week and while we were there I snapped a picture in front of a certain wall.
Because seven years ago BTR and I took a picture in front of that very same wall. Love.
Three.
It is hotter than hot outside these days so the water is calling our name. We snuck away to the pool yesterday and it felt so nice! Ezra was in a float part of the time, but I also wore him in my Beachfront Baby ring sling I got last summer. Why is it next to impossible to get both of them to smile and look at the camera at the same time.
See, Ezra did have fun!
And when we got home from the pool we made margaritas and smoked some chicken on the back deck. And of course Jude had to grill next to BTR. I die from the cuteness.
Four.
Last weekend BTR was out of town so I took the boys solo to see the Thunderbirds fly at the Scott AFB air show. It was super hot and crowded, but we found a great spot to watch nearby and both boys loved it! The planes were absolutely incredible!
Five.

![Boo Fest at @midamericaofficial was the best kind of fall day 🎃👻
Luke was all in on Kid’s Boo Fest while Brandon and the big kids headed straight for the roller coasters. The fall food menu is SO good! We tried the Phantom Pizza and other snacks, and the IV drinks at The Blood Bank were a hit. And it isn’t a trip to the park without a waffle cone! 🍦
We bought season passes this year so we could visit all summer and all fall, and I can’t wait to do it again next year!
🎃 Boo Fest is on Saturdays and Sundays from park open until 6pm. It’s the perfect event for little ones, with their favorite rides, a candy trail, spooky story time, and more!
👻 Want to go after dark? Fright Fest runs select nights from 6pm to 11pm. It’s included with park admission and season passes (haunted houses are a separate add-on) and is geared toward teens and adults. Brandon is taking the big boys to experience it. I’m too chicken! 🙈

I thought it was so sweet that you guys were delivering Meals on Wheels to seniors! You all are awesome. So cool to get a retweet and to be seen by so many people. Wow! I love that you all have pictures in front of the same wall. When you guys were there I bet you didn’t even think about having two precious little boys in front of that wall years later. The pool is the best way to beat the heat. We need a pool something fierce here in Texas.
Delivering meals is such a favorite thing to do, I can’t wait to do it again next month! And I can’t imagine the Texas heat! I would not survive!
