What a weekend! It was such a nice long weekend with the holiday, I was not ready to go back to a routine today!
We started our weekend fun on Thursday at story time at Chick-fil-A where I (I mean Jude) made this awesome bunny craft! And we played and chatted with lots of friends, always fun!
And while we played, BTR took advantage of a day off and made this picnic table for Jude and Ezra! He actually made two, the other is a gift for someone else. But if you are local and want one, let us know! It didn’t take him very long and it’s made out of composite so it should last for basically forever.
Friday night BTR and I had a date night at Perennial for their Société du Chêne anniversary party! It was fun and tasty!
Saturday afternoon we finally dyed our eggs! Which means I also successfully hard boiled said eggs. I’m pretty impressed with myself about that.
And then late (late late late) Saturday night I finally started baking Ezra’s birthday cake. It was originally supposed to be five layers, but I ended up only stacking and icing three of them. And that was plenty!
We woke up bright and early Easter Sunday morning and headed to church, where both boys semi-behaved! Then we came home to find our Easter baskets and bunny eggs all over the yard!
Both boys were so excited to see all the fun gifts the Easter bunny brought them!
This wagon was a big hit!
Jude couldn’t contain himself collecting all the bunny eggs in our yard. He shared a few with Ezra.
Then in the afternoon, we had our parents over for lunch and cake to celebrate Ezra’s birthday!!
Pictures with four people are hard haha. This is the best we got!
We went to bed early Sunday and had a lazy play day on Monday since Brandon was still off from work.
Today we are hanging around the house and getting things done. We’ve got a big party to prep for in two weeks! Plus I’m being crazy and saying we are having a yard sale this weekend! Yikes!
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday with your family!
