It seems Christmas starts earlier and earlier each year, but I am a-okay with that! I mean I started playing Christmas music on November 1. #noshame Send all the decorations, jingle bells, and presents my way!
Honestly, we normally don’t get a head start on decorating, but we decided this year to do a little bit at a time and we already have our apothecary decked out with some holiday cheer with decor we got from our local At Home.
The boys had so much fun going around the Holiday section of our local At Home store. There were literally thousands of holiday items at great low prices in so many different styles and themes. The aisles were organized by theme and color scheme, so was easy to get an idea of what things that would go together.
Um, can we get one? The boys totally wanted the giant blow-ups of course! BTR said no.
I’m really loving how our apothecary turned out! The garland we chose looks natural and I love the pops of red we added to brighten up the rustic decor we chose.
Of course, I had to throw in a #rotzbrother pajama photo in the spread to personalize it for us!
I also really loved the little envelopes I added to the 24 days of Christmas clips I bought. We have ordered a few fun advent calendars for the boys, but I was thinking of maybe doing something different with these. I think we will write something we are thankful for every day or maybe messages to loved ones and then put them in the envelopes every day.
We had so much fun getting some new Christmas decor and exploring At Home with the boys. As we were decorating the apothecary Jude stopped us and said, “WAIT! Mama, stop, I hear something!” Then he ran over to our window and looked through the blinds and said, “Oh not yet, Santa isn’t here yet.” It was so funny and so sweet! I can’t wait to have another holiday season with the boys! Maybe we can start the reminders that Santa only visits good little boys!
