I’m so excited to share my third day in the life post with you all! Fair warning, while it is a ton of reading and pictures, I definitely did not do as good of a job on this one as in the past. But I didn’t want to skip it completely because I really do love looking back on these and seeing how much has changed as well as stayed the same in our lives!

Brandon – 30 years old
Liz – 29 years old
Jude – 1 year, 6 months old
Ellie – 8 years old
Addie – 5 years old
Baby #2 – 13 weeks, 4 Days (in my belly)
I’m not actually sure what time I woke up. I honestly had forgotten that I was going to do a day in the life post and didn’t take a screen shot or anything. BTR was off school for Columbus Day and woke up super early to do some work in the shop. I woke up and slowly got out of bed and got dressed. Then I remembered I was doing a DITL and finally took a screen shot at 8:51.
I check Jude’s monitor around 9:00 and he’s still asleep.
Go in to wake up him up and he coughs funny so I take his temperature but no fever.
I change his clothes and take him into family room and turn on Sesame Street. BTR has come in from the garage and gives me Jude’s milk and we snuggle on the couch together for a few minutes.
I make Jude breakfast, sausage and a waffle, and my breakfast, a pop tart.
Finish eating and put Jude’s laundry in washer and fill growler with soap.
I decide coffee sounds good (I think I’ve had it twice since I found out I was pregnant). Make a decaf cup in the keurig. Wash Jude’s breakfast dishes, wipe his face and get him out of high chair.
9:50 – Take my coffee into living room and sit on couch. Jude doesn’t want to come in because he’s staring at the door to the garage and listening to BTR and his tools.
Realize Jude stinks and take him to his bedroom to change his diaper. Remember I need to get the last of the size 4 diapers out of his diaper bag and the skip hop changer and replace with size 5 diapers. Back to couch in living room with Jude. Check work emails so I know what is waiting for me when I get downstairs. Remember that today is a holiday so no mail. I’ll still ship what’s pending so I don’t have to do it tomorrow.
Check pregnancy app to see how far along I am.
Play with Jude and his trucks. Look at his hair and realize he needs another haircut because it’s getting close to mullet territory again. Jude is obsessed with giving kisses to everything and it’s adorable.
10:50 – put Jude down for nap early since we are going to STL for lunch. Pour out half my coffee, it just doesn’t taste good and grab my water from the fridge. I go to blow my nose and realize I have another bloody nose. One of the many perks of pregnancy.
Head to basement to ship eBay orders. Finish shipping come upstairs and take a LONG hot shower. I get out of shower and go to my computer in my office. Connect my phone and BTR’s phone to computer to download recent photos. Check emails.
BTR comes in from garage and takes a shower. I dry my hair and put on some makeup. I make list for Trader Joe’s of all our favorites. Get Jude’s laundry out of dryer. Wake Jude up and change him into jeans and get in car to drive to STL for lunch.
12:28 – start driving to STL
Go to a new brewery called Standard Brewing Company for lunch.
They have a lunch special for an 8” pizza and salad for $7.50, DONE. I got a delicious pizza with artichokes, mushrooms, and other yummies and BTR got a buffalo chicken pizza. The best part about this place? Kids get a FREE 8” pizza when you buy a meal for yourself. So Jude got a whole cheese pizza to himself!
We leave the brewery and BTR and Jude take a selfie outside and then we realize they match. #twinsies
We drive to Trader Joe’s because we haven’t been in FOREVER and stock up on all of our faves.
2:30 – We leave Trader Joe’s and head home.
When we get home we decide to take a walk now since the Cardinals game will be on later and we won’t want to leave the house.
Put Jude in his wagon for the walk and he is so excited!
We then try and put Ellie in the wagon with Jude. Hilarious but only lasts 10 seconds.
We get home from the walk and put Jude down for a little nap. It seems odd, but if we put him down for 45 minutes or an hour in the evening, he has such a better evening and then sleeps better.
BTR and I head to the basement to make some wine glasses on the laser. I design the monogram and then set the laser settings.
They turn out great and I can’t wait to get them in the shop downtown Belleville where BTR sells things. I might want to get these online as well, just need to figure out shipping.
BTR pours a beer into his new beer glass and takes a picture with the Jack Buck bobble head and posts it to Instagram because that’s exactly what he did on Friday night and we won that night.
We hang out on the couches and watch the game. It isn’t pretty. We wake Jude up and play a bit before dinner.
I make dinner, leftover chicken pot pie for me (sorry no picture) and Jude and BTR have some left over pork, mashed potatoes, and carrots. And I had made Red Lobster cheddar biscuits the night before so we all ate those.
I start doing dishes and turn around and see Jude climbing on the oven. Not cool dude.
After cleaning up we play a bit more and then put Jude to bed. I wash my face and take out my contacts.
I fill my new diffuser with water and lavender and turn it on.
I open my Fitbit app to check my steps for the day, not good but not terrible considering how inactive I’ve been lately.
I set my alarms and take a screenshot, it’s 9:16 pm.
I turn on Netflix and we watch one or two episodes of Friday Night Lights because we are obsessed and cannot stop watching. I have no idea what time I finally fell asleep!
Wow, congratulations if you made it this far! I really love doing these posts and linking up with Julia, it’s so much fun! I would totally encourage all of you to try this and do it sometime, I love comparing my current day to old posts.
