I don’t know about you, but we had a fun and busy weekend! Friday after BTR got home from work we ran a couple errands and then made orange chicken for dinner (it’s one our favorite things from Trader Joe’s) then stayed in and watched some DVR-ed tv shows. It was wonderful and relaxing!

Saturday morning we woke up bright and early and headed to a kids consignment sale. Jude needs some cold weather clothes and I figured this would be a great place to start our shopping. We also found this amazing Melissa and Doug workbench, but it was still a little expensive and decided not to get it. We came home and BTR worked out in the garage and I played with Jude and got some work done during his nap.
We went to church that evening and then headed to BTR’s cousins house for a bonfire! It was great weather to be outside around the fire and we had so much fun catching up with family and eating gumbo. I took cornbread muffins, cornbread being my new favorite thing to bake.

Sunday morning we woke up early and decided to head back to the consignment sale because on Sunday most items were marked 50% off (which is a great deal since they are already low prices). We lucked out and got the Melissa and Doug workbench we saw the day before for an amazing price! He obviously won’t be able to use it for a couple years and normally we don’t like buying things like this so far in advance for him, but it was a great price and was just so adorable! Plus his papa is a woodworker so it’s perfect! ;)
We came home from the sale and BTR did some yard work at my mom’s house and then when he got home we got everything ready to put in the crockpot to make white chicken chili and then hit the couch to watch the Rams game! We went for a walk that afternoon and then we opened a yummy rare beer and enjoyed it on the back patio. We wrapped Jude up in his bouncer and he giggled the whole time at Addie, it was adorable! That night we watched more football and ate the chili, which was delicious! I think it’s one of my favorite crockpot meals we make. Ohh and we watched Homeland! I’m really loving this season so far!

Well you can see we were pretty busy this weekend, but had lots of fun! Did you do anything fun this weekend?
