We recently went apple picking at our favorite farm, Eckert’s!
Watch me make this recipe on Show Me St. Louis with Dana Dean and Anthony Slaughter!
And of course we came home with 20 pounds of apples and you can only make so many apple pies.

Ok that’s a lie. You can never make too many apple pies. But, I did want to come up with a few different snack recipes with apples. ;)

Enter apple nachos! Because what sounds better than a DIY nacho bar? A DIY nacho bar with candy. And chocolate. And caramel.

Apple Nachos
Directions:
1. Slice your apples. I love using a slicer/corer/peeler to make this quick and easy! You can set it so it doesn’t peel them.
2. To prevent your apples from browning, prepare a large bowl with cold water and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Dunk your apple slices and then pat them dry.
3. Arrange apples on a platter.
4. Top apples with all your favorite toppings!!

Here’s a short list of some of our favorite toppings:
Chocolate Sauce
Caramel Sauce
Peanut Butter (thin it out with honey so you can drizzle it!)
Cookie Butter Spread
Mini Chocolate Chips
Mini M&M’s
Mini Candy Corn
Sprinkles
Chopped Peanuts
Crushed Pretzels (bonus points if they are chocolate covered!)
Mini Marshmallows
Literally anything you can imagine….

So if you go apple picking this fall and need a new snack idea, try these apple nachos! I promise you everyone will love them! You can prepare lots of small plates of apples so everyone can make their own!
